Thanks to generous donations, the Christian Education Ministry wrapped and delivered purchased blanket throws to the residents of Laurel Square Rehabilitation Center on December 21, 2022. The residents were happy to receive the throws. Snacks for the staff were also delivered.
Today we celebrated the Christmas season with our Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, with beautiful music by our music director, Julie Myers, choir members Joan Clerk and Terrine Datts, our Sunday School children, and special guest musicians Adrienne Walsh, Phil Hansen and Steve Ryan.
After service we enjoyed fellowship over a delicious Christmas luncheon. And we celebrated a special birthday!
Trunk or Treat was a little different this year. The 7 to 0 Eagles were playing at the same time, so we had a lighter turn-out. Our favorite ghosts and goblins floated by. Rev. Downing and his family joined
us for lunch before going home to watch the game.
The event was extra tasty thanks to a donation of hamburgers, hot dogs, and buns from OLCAA.Theresa and Aaron were the grill masters.
It was great to see Rev. Keith and some of his members enjoyed the fellowship, food, and candy. We had some surprise guests. The Easter Bunny, Morgan and the napping twins, Julian, and Miss Adelaide all stopped by. It was a BOO-tiful day.🎃
Our Making Waves Vacation Bible School was held August 1-5, 2022.
The children enjoyed a refreshing wave of fun. Thanks to all the adults who helped make our VBS a success. Special thanks to OLCAA (our community organization) who provided backpacks with school supplies, water bottles, and a yummy pizza dinner for the children.
