Thanksgiving/ Christmas Gift Cards

Blessings from OLPC for families in need at the holidays.

A very big thank you to the OLPC congregation and friends for your generous monetary gifts at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

When we asked for donations to purchase Aldi food cards for Thanksgiving, we hoped to have five $50 cards to give to families for food for the holiday.

We received $700! So, we were able to bless 6 families (21 children) with food for Thanksgiving.

But we weren’t done yet. We assisted a family of eleven at Christmas and we donated two gift cards to Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry and to Family Promise to add to their ministry.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

–Cathy Smith, chair of Church and Community.

Our Rolling of the Scrolls Memorial Service was on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Thank you to all who participated in, attended, or donated to our Rolling of the Scrolls Memorial Service.

It was a very moving service. Candles were lit, names were honored, scripture was read, and hymns were sung in memory of our loved ones.

Special thanks to Criseeda Seals, our pianist.
